Wythnos Iechyd Meddwl 2017

Roedd y Caplaniaid yn brysur yn cefnogi Wythnos Iechyd Meddwl ar draws safleoedd Coleg Cambria ym mis Mai.

Glannau Dyfrdwy

Dydd Llun 8 Mai, rhoddwyd 60 o Becynnau Lleihau Straen i fyfyrwyr Chweched Glannau Dyfrdwy  sydd yn paratoi ar gyfer eu harholiadau Safon Uwch. Diolch i Tesco Extra ym Mrychdyn a gyfrannodd binnau ysgrifennu, nodiadau post-it a lolipops at y pecynnau.

Dydd Mawrth 9 Mai, yn y Ffair Iechyd Meddwl, gwnaeth myfyrwyr gychod origami i’w harnofio ar bwll o ddŵr i helpu lleihau straen. Roedd yn hwyl, ac roedd y caplaniaid hefyd yn gallu siarad gyda sefydliadau eraill sydd yn rhan o’r cynllun ‘Amser i Newid Cymru’ mae’r coleg wedig addo ei gefnogi.

Dydd Llun 15 Mai, daeth y Parchedig Lorraine Badger-Watts i siarad gyda myfyrwyr am sut i ofalu am eu hiechyd meddwl a gofalu am eraill. Roedd y myfyrwyr yn gwerthfawrogi’r sgwrs, ac maent rŵan yn gwybod y gallent siarad â chaplan os ydynt yn dymuno.

  Mental Health Week 2017

The Chaplains were busy supporting Mental Health Week across Coleg Cambria during May.

Deeside

On Monday 8 May 60 De-Stress Packs were given out to Deeside 6th students getting ready for their A Level Exams. Thank you to Broughton Tesco Extra who contributed to the packs by donating pens, post it notes and lollipops.

On Tuesday 9 May, at the Mental Health Fair, students made origami boats which they floated on a pool of water to relieve stress. It was fun to do and the chaplains were also able to chat to other organisations involved in the ‘Time to Change Wales’ initiative which the college has pledged to support.

On Monday 15 May, Rev Lorraine Badger-Watts came in to do a talk for students on how to look after your mental health and looking out for others. This was gratefully received and students now know they can speak to a chaplain if they wish.
