Ffair Gweithgareddau 2016

Blwyddyn arall a Ffair Gweithgareddau arall!

Roedd gan y Barchedig Sally Baird fwrdd ‘Gobeithion a Phryderon’ yng Nglannau Dyfrdwy lle roedd myfyrwyr yn gallu gadael eu meddyliau am y coleg a blwch gweddi iddynt bostio’u gweddïau. Ymunodd nifer o bobl newydd a oedd yn gobeithio ymuno â’r tîm â’r Barchedig Sally.  Roedd yn braf gweld y myfyrwyr yn cymryd rhan yn y gweithgareddau a chanfod eu bod wedi postio gweddïau trwy’r wythnos gyfan.

Roedd Ken yn y Ffair Gweithgareddau yn Llaneurgain , yn cyflwyno’r gaplaniaeth i’r myfyrwyr ac roedd gan nifer ohonynt ddiddordeb mewn cyfarfod fel grŵp.

Yn Iâl a Ffordd y Bers roeddem yn dathlu 10 mlynedd y Gaplaniaeth. Daeth y Barchedig Janice Jones (Caplan cyntaf Iâl a Ffordd y Bers) atom a dathlwyd yr achlysur gyda chacen pen-blwydd mawr (a ddiflannodd mewn llai na 30 munud yn Iâl).  Diolch i’r Adran Arlwyo am wneud y gacen ac i Janice am ddod i’n dathliadau.

Roedd gennym Undeb Cristnogol yn Iâl hefyd yr ymunodd nifer o fyfyrwyr ag ef. Roedd gennym fwrdd cwestiynau hefyd a oedd yn gofyn: ‘Petaech yn gallu gofyn un cwestiwn i Dduw, beth fyddai’r cwestiwn hwnnw?’  Roedd gennym wirfoddolwr newydd gyda ni hefyd, a fydd efallai’n ymuno â thîm y gaplaniaeth yn y dyfodol.

Yn olaf, cafodd Cathy nifer o sgyrsiau da yn Llysfasi.  Mae’r myfyrwyr bellach yn dod i adnabod staff y Gaplaniaeth a sut fydd y caplaniaid yn gallu eu helpu.

Another year, another Activity Fest!

At Deeside Rev Sally Baird had a ‘Hopes and Concerns’ board where students could write down their thoughts on college, and also a prayer box where they could post prayers. Rev Sally was also joined by a few new people hoping to join the team.  It was good to see students engage with the activities and to discover that prayers had been posted throughout the whole week.

At Northop, Ken was at the Activities Fest introducing chaplaincy to the students where a few were interested in meeting together as group.

At Yale and Bersham Road we were celebrating 10 years of Chaplaincy. Rev Janice Jones (the first chaplain at Yale and Bersham Road) came along to both sites and we celebrated with a big birthday cake (at Yale it went in under 30mins). Thank you to the Catering Department for making the cake and for Janice coming to our celebrations.

Also at Yale we had a Christian Union stand where some students signed up, as well as a question board asking ‘If you could ask God one question what would it be?’ We also had a new volunteer with us who might join the chaplaincy team in the future.

Finally, at Llysfasi, Cathy had lots of good conversations. Students are getting to know the chaplaincy there and chaplains can support them.
