Parti’r Gaplaniaeth / Chaplaincy Party

Mae’n anhygoel credu bod pum mlynedd wedi mynd heibio ers sefydlu’r gaplaniaeth yng Nglannau Dyfrdwy. Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn mae’r tîm wedi cynyddu a gweithio gyda nifer fawr o fyfyrwyr ac fe wnaeth yr Adran Arlwyo waith ardderchog yn pobi cacennau bach a’u haddurno gyda’n eicon ‘gwrando, rhoi cymorth, gweddïo’.  Cafwyd gwasanaeth ardderchog gan y myfyrwyr yn gosod ac yn tywallt y diodydd. Roedd yn hyfryd cael cynrychiolwyr y Corff Llywodraethu, Esgobaeth Llanelwy, caplaniaid, staff a myfyrwyr i gyd yn dod at ei gilydd i ddathlu a dosbarthu dros 200 o gacennau bach i fyfyrwyr. Roedd hefyd yn braf cael gweld y caplaniaid a sefydlodd y gwasanaeth unwaith eto, yn ogystal ag un o’r gwirfoddolwyr cyntaf o blith y myfyrwyr.  Roedd yn brynhawn hyfryd. Diolch yn fawr i bawb!

It’s amazing to think 5 years ago in May the chaplaincy at Deeside was established. Over this time the team has grown and worked with many students and staff. It has been a privilege to work in the college and play our part in the lives of the learners and staff at Deeside and indeed over all of Coleg Cambria. In order to celebrate this milestone a small party was held to celebrate and thank everyone for their support and involvement over the last five years. The Catering Department did a wonderful job baking cupcakes and decorating them with our chaplaincy icons of ‘listen, support, pray’ and the students provided an excellent service setting up and pouring the drinks. It was lovely to have representatives from the Governing Body, St Asaph Diocese, chaplains, staff and students all come together to celebrate and hand out over 200 cupcakes to students. It was also wonderful to be reunited with chaplains who had setup the service and one of the first student volunteers.  It was a lovely afternoon. Thank you to everyone!
