I nodi Diwrnod Cofio’r Holocost (HMD), siaradodd Tim Feak â myfyrwyr Iâl a Glannau Dyfrdwy ddydd Mawrth a dydd Iau.  Siaradodd am sut effeithiodd yr Holocost ar ei deulu a sut cafodd pobl eu dad-ddyneiddio; gwersi y dylem eu cofio heddiw.  Ar ddiwrnod y cofio ei hun, cynhaliodd Iâl ddigwyddiad “goleuo’r gannwyll” er cof am y rhai a fu farw mewn gweithredoedd hil-laddiad yn ystod y 70 mlynedd ddiwethaf a hwy.  Cyn hynny, cafwyd anerchiad gan y Gaplaniaeth ar thema’r cofio eleni “ Peidiwch â Sefyll o’r Neilltu”. Gallwch ddarllen am hyn yn ein hadran Tybed.

To mark Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD), Tim Feak gave talks to students at Yale and Deeside on the Tuesday and Thursday. He talked about how his family were affected by the Holocaust and how people were dehumanised; lessons we should take note of today. On the actual day Yale had a symbolic “candle lighting” event in memory of those who have died in acts of genocide over the past seventy plus years. It was preceded by an address by the Chaplaincy on the theme of this year’s HMD, “Don’t Stand By”. You can read this talk on our Tybed section.
