Dydd y Cadoediad 2015/Armistice Day 2015

Creodd myfyrwyr Sgiliau Byw’n Annibynnol a myfyrwyr Blodeuwriaeth, lwybr helyg hardd yn Llaneurgain gan glymu pabïau coch ar ei hyd ar gyfer Dydd y Cadoediad.

Cynhaliodd y Parchedig Robin Fox wasanaeth byr yn dilyn y tawelwch cymunedol yn y ffreutur a’r cyntedd.  Yn dilyn hynny cafodd y myfyrwyr gyfle i ysgrifennu eu negeseuon eu hunain ar babïau coch a’u clymu i’r rhwyd gargo.

Cynhaliwyd gweithgaredd tebyg yn Iâl, gyda wal goffa yn y Llyfrgell lle clymodd y myfyrwyr babïau ar rwyd ffrwythau.  Bu’n gyfle i’r myfyrwyr gael cofio am y rhai a fu farw mewn rhyfel a’r rhai hynny a fu farw fel arall.

This year ILS and florist students made a beautiful willow way at Northop and attached red poppies for Armistice Day.

At Deeside, Rev Robin Fox led a small service after the communal silence in the refectory and foyer. Afterwards students were able to write their own messages onto red poppies and attach these to a cargo net.

Yale had a similar activity with a Remembrance Wall in the LRC where students attached poppies to a fruit net. It gave students the opportunity to remember those who had died in conflict and those who had passed away.
