Well today is GCSE day and I’m mingling with the crowds of potential students all thinking about their future career paths! Of course not all people know what they want to do (some never really know!) and it can be really difficult to choose courses if you’re not 100% sure what you want to do! I remember thinking ‘I’ll just go with my highest results’ and it has to be said that it’s now that I truly feel blessed in my vocation, having enjoyed the journey getting here along the way!
College life is so unlike school life…it’s a chance for people to really blossom in their chosen fields and be treated (maybe for the first time) as an adult. But it’s also a time where we might feel overwhelmed by all the changes that take place. College is hard work but it is also lots of fun! I’m a Chaplain here and I have lots of fun!
Coleg Cambria has lots of support available so there’s no need to feel (as I heard today) those words ‘My lifes over’ Make use of the advice and help that is on offer. If you are reading this, you’ve already found the Chaplaincy Blog but you can also come over and chat to us (we’re based in Student services) or you can email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on extension 6117. We are a listening ear and can listen to your joys and your worries…
Whatever and wherever you choose to do in your future, please take our prayers and blessings with you! And as my fave actor Ryan Gosling says;
“I’ve learned it’s important not to limit yourself. You can do whatever you really love to do, no matter what it is”
