The college’s Chaplaincy team made it their mission to tour the Deeside site, handing out Easter treats and meeting the hard working students, who will soon be in the final term of the year.
The Chaplaincy team, who adopted a regular base at the college site last Easter, is made up of members from the Church in Wales and the Methodist Church. Since their launch, they have been on hand to talk to students and staff about faith, life, love and relationships, stress, jobs, money and more.
The Chaplaincy Lead Chaplain Rev Martin Batchelor said:
“It was terrific for members of the team to get out and about across the college, handing out Easter treats to the students. Easter is a very significant time not only for Christians, but it also marks the time when many young people are starting to revise for exams and prepare for the end of their courses. We took this opportunity to highlight the support and service that we are able to offer in the College.”
Deeside College Student Services Manager, Karen Senior said:
“The Chaplaincy team created a great buzz around the college in the lead up to Easter. Since their launch last year they have provided a beneficial service for many of our students, wanting to chat about different issues in their life. I am sure that even more will now be calling on them in the future.”
