Cafodd y Gaplaniaeth yr anrhydedd o groesawu’r rapiwr Cristnogol Joey G i Goleg Cambria ar ddydd Iau 12 Hydref 2017, i gynnal gweithdy Rap/Hip hop ar gyfer Mis Hanes Pobl Dduon. Cafodd ei sesiwn gyntaf, a oedd yn cynnwys rap am gorgwn, ei recordio gan fyfyrwyr BTEC Y Cyfryngau. Yn hwyrach yn y dydd, cynhaliodd gig yn y ffreutur gyda’r myfyrwyr yn cymryd rhan. Aeth ymlaen i gynnal rhagor o sesiynau gyda bwyd yn un o brif themau’r rapiau. Cafodd myfyrwyr gyfle i ddysgu am hanes Rap/Hip hop, cyfansoddi caneuon eu hunain a gwrando ar gerddoriaeth Joey G ei hun.

Diolch i bawb a gymerodd ran, ac i Joey G am ddiwrnod bythgofiadwy.

The Chaplaincy had the great privilege of inviting Christian rapper Joey G to Coleg Cambria on Thursday 12 October to do some Rap/Hip Hop workshops for Black History Month. His first session was recorded by BTEC Media students and included a rap about corgis. Later on he gigged in the canteen with students joining in. Later on he did a few more sessions with food being the most common theme for rap content. Students were able to learn about the history of RAP/Hip Hop, compose their own song and listen to some of his own music.

Thank you to everyone who took part, and especially to Joey G who made it a most memorable day.
